ACCOMPLISHMENTS: After receiving his first set of drums at an early age (reportedly a gift from an enemy of the family) Larry trained in his formative years under the tutelage of Trenton’s well known drum instructor Harry Paratestes and then later with the reknowned (and feared) Kutcher Balsoff.   During the course of his travels abroad in the military (see below) Larry also had the opportunity to briefly study under Indian legend Mytur Binsderti (who is considered by his countrymen to be to drums what Ravi Shankar was to the sitar). 

By virtue of this varied training background Larry is a versatile and accomplished percussionist who is more than capable across a broad array of styles including rock, jazz, and classical.   Larry is also an expert sound engineer who is proficient doing studio recordings as well as designing and running live production sound systems.

"HE AIN'T NO ROCKET SCIENTIST": Well, actually he is . . . by day "LD" is an electronics engineer working in the division of Lockheed Martin that designs, builds, tests, launches and conducts the ongoing operation and maintenance of outer space satellites!

FAVORITE NEW BANDS: “Porcupine Tree, Muse, Incubus, Breaking Benjamin, Tool, Coheed & Cambria, and Snow Patrol”

FAVORITE OLD BAND: “The Beatles, Fleetwood Mac, and Pink Floyd”

MUSICAL INFLUENCES: “There are so many but the ones that come immediately to mind are Gavin Harrison, Dave Weckl, Steve Gadd, Steven Wilson, and Victor Wooten”

FAVORITE DRINK: “It’s a toss up between straight yager and yager bombs (when I need a boost!)”

BEST KEPT SECRET (until now): Larry spends his free time tending to . . . and protecting from large predatorily birds like eagles and herons . . .his very expensive school of Koi that he keeps in a series of self constructed back yard fish hatcheries.

SECOND BEST KEPT SECRET (until now): Larry spent six years in the late 80’s and early 90’s in the US Navy as an electronics specialist on the nuclear aircraft carrier Eisenhower and is credited within most military circles in the know as being the unsung hero that was largely responsible for bringing down the iron curtain.
